ABOUT US
Kelli Crumpton Ketner, General Manager
Hi, my name is Kelli Crumpton Ketner. I am the General Manager of Gingerbread LittleVersity Inc. I am the daughter of founders Libby and Ronnie Crumpton and have grown up in the childcare business since I was eight years old.
During elementary school, I assisted teachers by reading stories to the children and playing games with them on the playground. During high school, I worked as the afterschool teacher in the winter and as a lifeguard and swim instructor during the summer. I went on to attend North Carolina State University and received my BA in Business Management.
After graduation, I returned to become the director of Gingerbread LittleVersity Uptown for four years. In 1998, Ms. Libby began her retirement and I began my training for the position of general manager of the three centers. My job allows me to visit each center several times a day and be available to the directors, teachers, and parents during operating hours.
Our childcare centers were started and solely owned by my family and have been in operation since 1980. We enjoy a homelike, small town atmosphere of attainability and a desire to treat your child as we want ours treated. Our reputation stands on its own as is exemplified by our now providing care for children of children we have served in the past. I invite you to give our schools a visit.
Shannon Page, Assistant General Manager
Dear Parents,
I would like to introduce myself to you and share my background and philosophy of how important early education for children is.
As a parent, I understand the critical need for quality educational childcare that addresses the changing lifestyle of the American family. I joined Gingerbread LittleVersity’s family in 2004 as the Director of our NorthEnd campus where I worked with the teachers and families to achieve a FIVE star license. Prior to joining Gingerbread, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Child Development at Meredith College.
I am excited to have the opportunity to work as Assistant General Manager with all the families and teachers at all three of our Gingerbread LittleVersity campuses. I believe in going back to the basics… the simplicity of childhood, when we used our imaginations and creativity to entertain ourselves and learn from the world around us.
The focus at Gingerbread LittleVersity is the development of a curriculum that encourages child-initiated learning and discovery. In order to achieve this, we have a loving staff, a home-like feeling, communication with the parents, and an overall warm, safe, secure, and child-centered environment filled with many open-ended opportunities.
I invite you to come see our differences and become part of our “family”, - a happy place where learning is child’s play. |
